Some friends are still wearing masks that are too big. Please make sure they are wearing the correct size mask. It should cover their noses and not fall off their faces.
Religion: We have wrapped up our religion unit and we are in the project phase. The goal is to have it done by Tuesday, as that is our last day before Thanksgiving break. Every year, third grade works with the church on a service project about hunger and helping those in need. Typically, we collect cans of food and donate them to the food pantry at Harmony Community Cares. This year, COVID gave us all a curveball. However, that did not stop us from putting something together. Instead of collecting cans of food, we will put together a gift bag that will be delivered to Harmony Community Cares. A list and a bag came home on Monday, and the bag does not have to come back till January 15. On the paper, it says to collect one of every item, but collect as much as you can. This will mean a lot to the homebound seniors. Math: We started topic 4 this week which is on division. We will spend a lot of time on this topic due to it being a harder topic. We will first iron out the relationship that multiplication and division have. Making that connection will help a great deal as we move deeper into the world of division. We learned fact families, and they are using those to cement their foundation. Continue to have them create fact families at home, as that will help them remember their facts. Similar to topics 2 and 3, we will learn how to divide factor by factor. Important Dates:
